我們這個年代的矛盾 

我們的房子愈住愈, 但家庭成員愈來愈少;

活愈來愈方便, 時間卻愈來愈少;

更多的學位, 但常識更貧乏,

更多的知識, 判斷力更少,

愈多的專家, 但愈多的問題;

愈多的藥, 但健康愈差,

我們登陸月球又回到地球, 卻有困難走過馬路跟新鄰居打招呼;

我們的科技愈來愈發達, 但溝通卻愈來愈少;

我們變得太重視量, 而忽略了質;

這是一個速食的時代, 但消化系統緩慢;

高個子卻志氣短;

深厚的利益,但淺薄的人際關係;

現在到了這年代-------

窗外看起來好像有很多東西, 房間裏頭卻甚麼也沒有.

  The paradox of our age

We have bigger houses but smaller families;

morn conveniences, but less time;

We have more degrees, but less sense;

more knowledge, but less judgement;

more expects, but more problems;

morm medicines, but less healghiness;

We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighour.

We buit more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication;

We have become long on quantity, but short on quality;

These are times of fast foods , but slow digestion;

Tall man but short character;

Steep profits but shallow relationships;

It's a time when there is much in the window, but nothing in the room.
